			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hormones are one of the common essentials in women&#8217;s health.  From P.M.S, childbirth, post-partum blues, breastfeeding to peri &amp; post menopause and anything in between, there is alot of research supporting that relationship challenges are directly correlated to these transitional times.  These &#8216;hormonal&#8217; phases in a women&#8217;s life can dictate to us how we feel about ourselves, our family, husbands, and how we react to normal life stresses.</p>
<p>With my 14 years working in the healthcare field as an educator, consultant and coach, I am here to be your advocate and provide you with confident mama strategies so you can thrive in your relationships with your health, family, new baby, marriage, teenagers and even your finances. I know the system in women&#8217;s healthcare and how to beat it for your benefit.  I  know how to provide you peaceful solutions quick and get you back on track.</p>
<p>As good moms we are taking care of everyone else&#8217;s needs but are we giving too much and not giving ourselves the same courtesy and respect?</p>
<p>You may continue to think that in order to be a good mom that your needs come second.  Eventually, it will catch up to you and manifest in health and emotional challenges such as weight gain, poor self concept, family disharmony, communication issues, low tolerances,  etc.  Can you afford another day not living your best life?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Why are so many people afraid of setting boundaries? Alot of people don&#8217;t even know what boundaries are or  how and why have boundaries.  Boundaries are things we draw in our imaginary line of  &#8216;do not cross.&#8217;  When people cross them intentionally or unintentionally they set off an internal warning to us that something does not feel right. What are some of yours? While you are thinking of yours, let me give you some example of what other people consider setting up a healthy boundary.</p>
<p>1. When kids talk back disrespectfully</p>
<p>2. A partner withdrawals instead of communicating</p>
<p>3. Driving with someone who is speeding and swerving in and out of traffic</p>
<p>4. Disrespectful language that makes you feel uncomfortable which can be swearing or criticism</p>
<p>5.  Out of control tantrums and this can be children as well as adults</p>
<p>6.  When family members don&#8217;t pick up after themselves</p>
<p>7.  Family members throw things against the wall when they are mad</p>
<p>8.  Those that display poor manners such as burping at the dinner table or not wiping their muddy feet on the mat before coming into the house</p>
<p>9.  Yelling without it being an emergency</p>
<p>10. Coming in late after a set curfew</p>
<p>11. When someone borrows your car without replacing the gas and leaves it dirty</p>
<p>12.  Someone telling you an obvious a lie</p>
<p>13. Small children running into the street to catch a ball</p>
<p>Again, these may not be yours specifically but you get the general idea. So, what do we do when we have these boundaries? First of all own your boundaries.  Second, don&#8217;t expect everyone at all times to know what your boundaries are. Communicate clearly what you expect of others and if the behavior is repeated, remind them there will be a consequence.   A consequence that not only protects you but it helps others to know what you expect.   Also, be flexible not a dictator. If your teenager came home late from his set curfew and called you to tell you he is being late due to a traffic accident then that is not crossing your boundary. However, if your partner starts to put you down and criticize you, doesn&#8217;t mean you need to be flexible and accept that behavior.  A consequence will have to be enforced.  That may mean leaving the room, the house or express to the one criticizing, that you will be happy to talk to them when they are being loving and respectful.</p>
<p>Pick 3 boundaries this week that you would like to improve upon.</p>
<p>Identify the 3 boundaries down in your journal or somewhere you can review them.</p>
<p>Write a consequence for each boundary that has been crossed.</p>
<p>Implement the consequence when and if necessary.</p>
<p>Also, know the difference between setting up a healthy boundary and being controlling. If the boundary is set up with love and respect for you and them then that should be considered a healthy boundary. If it is created out of fear, dictatorship and doubt then it may be created out of control and that would be an unhealthy and an unproductive boundary.   We are all entitled to set healthy boundaries.   Setting loving and consistent boundaries not only gives yourself respect it helps those around you learn respectable and safe guidelines they can apply throughout their life.  <em><br />

It is hard to imagine sometimes that we have that much power and it is hard to admit that whatever we don&#8217;t have in our lives is to our creation to some degree. </em></p>
<p><em>You don&#8217;t like the circumstances you are in then change it.  You don&#8217;t like your spouse very much, or perhaps your co-workers? It isn&#8217;t up to them to change for you.  It is up to you to change for yourself.  Happiness, success, gratefulness, inspiration, confidence, spirituality, service and respect, etc are all innately yours to receive.  They are gifts from God. What are you doing to receive, refine and appreciate these gifts? </em></p>
