Having a party for toddlers is just about as chaotic as you’d think it would be, but one of the most adorable things ever! Lauren made the most delicious heart shaped chocolate chip waffles with fruit and the boys loved them! Who am I kidding, I loved them too. Chet probably would have ate them all day long if I let him, as you can see haha.
There were also crafts set up for everyone and it was so fun to help the babies make their first Valentine’s cards! Chet and I made a card for dad and he loved putting the stickers and glitter on it.
This is actually a craft that I’ve been meaning to share on the blog because it’s so easy and can be done in a variety of ways for any occasion. These foam stickers are such a good way to keep toddlers occupied and it helps them develop their fine motor skills too! I often finding myself setting Chet up with a piece of paper and some foam stickers and it keeps him busy long enough for me to cook dinner.
You can use construction paper to make cards with them, or they stick perfectly on felt too. Hobby Lobby has general shapes like these stickers and during holidays they have themed stickers too! For Christmas we had a big felt Christmas tree and holiday themed foam stickers that Chet could take off and put on as ornaments. He absolutely loved it. They also had large felt hearts that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day. I’m sure we will be recreating this craft for spring, Easter, and summer!
If you ever want to throw your own Valentine’s Day toddler party, all you need are some delicious heart shaped waffles, some craft paper, glue, glitter, crayons, and foam stickers! Thank goodness toddlers are pretty easy to please 🙂
I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
